Change Journey

Change is a long process. Here are some tips on how to negotiate it:

1. Be prepared.

Financially. Do you have an emergency fund? Savings? Money for retirement? Health insurance?

Spiritually. Be prayed up. Commit scripture to heart - recalling appropriate scripture at the right times could transform how you get through certain situations.

Relationally. Do you have a personal support system? How is your career network looking? Do you need to ask for help more (this could also be in the form of counselling or seminars to help equip you for the next change in your life). Family and friends who meet various needs all can help or hinder necessary growth at times. Remember to also be a sounding board and a reliable person for others. Everyone needs that.

2. Do your research.

If you are passionate about something, you will want to know more about it. Research helps you to know the information relevant to what you want to achieve. There are few things worse than being passionate about something, going for it, only to fail because of things we could have learned about had we tried to. Research is even easier with technology. Search, find and dive in.

3. Do something.

START TODAY! Do even something small and start to build momentum. The main difference between success and failure can be in our ability to try then our tenacity to try again and again until things click into place. Starting is the first step to managing change. These 3 tips are only a starting point.

Do something! Make it good.
