Prayer for Everything
I am a firm believer in having our priorities in order. God, spouse, family, career, etc. However your priorities look like, we have a number of aspects to our lives that need to be constantly balanced or juggled. We always need to pray for everything. God is interested in even the "little things" in our lives.
Easter is a great time to reflect on our relationship with our God who gave His best for us. The gift of Jesus cannot be compared to anyone or anything else. Jesus is supreme. We thank God for salvation which was made available when Jesus gave himself for us and then miraculously overcame death so that we can have life beyond this present life.
Our foundation is salvation through Jesus. Then we are to invest in maturing as a believer.
One way we do this is by realizing that God cares about everything in our life - when we get up, where we go, what we say and even our thoughts! Psalms 139:1-7 details these things.
We therefore need to commit all things to God through Jesus (Philippians 2:6). Remembering that our plans are made successful by the Lord but our motives also matter a great deal (Proverbs 16:1-3). When we pray according to God's Word he pays particular attention (Isaiah 55:10-12). We are also to remember that whatever our plans, God has His own timing. I continuously need to remind myself that God sees the bigger picture. He sees the end from the beginning and therefore His timing may sometimes differ from mine but He always answers prayers according to His will.
